Retro Trikot FC Chelsea 1976/77

In the second half of the seventies Chelsea suffered due to their renovations project a financially rough time.

The club was forced to sell their best players and got relegated to the second tier. After that the club was bought for the symbolic sum of £ 1 to Ken Bates. In contrast to that Chelsea played a good campaign in 1976/77 and reached an exciting promotion to the first division (now Premier League). The Player of the year of the club was the captain Ray Wilkins: it is an historic price, that the club created itself and is voted by players, managers and employees.

Other main characters were the legends Peter Bonetti (WC Winner with England in 1966), Ron Harris (most capped player in club history) and Steve Finnieston (best goal scorer of the campaign with 26 goals). A big highlight was the 2:0 win in the west-London-derby against Fulham in front of 55.000 at Stamford Bridge.

1976/77 Chelsea was wearing a gorgeous shirt with a polo collar and made out of 100% Cotton. Retrofootball® offers a perfect replica with official licence of the original produced model by Umbro.

A casual Chelsea Jersey for all, that want to combine their passion with a style, that does not exist anymore.
