Kaiserslautern 1990/91 Retro Shirt

The Kaiserslautern Retro Jersey of the campaign 1990/91. A Season, in which the FCK played in three different competitions. A year, the Fans of the red devils will never forget.

After winning in 1990 the DFB-Cup, the first silverware since the Bundesliga was founded, the team went motivated in the following season. As a result of finishing in mid table the season before, no one really expected Kaiserslautern to compete for the top spots. But after the campaign 1990/91 Kaiserslautern crowned itself as Champions of Germany for the first time since the creation of the Bundesliga in 1963. 0n the 22nd Matchday the 1.FCK captured the first spot of the table with a 2:1 Home-Win against FC Bayern Munich and was able to keep it until the end of the campaign. In May 1991 the atmosphere in Kaiserslautern was simply exceptional, when the red devils beat their rival 1.FC Köln with 6:2 away and they wrapped up the title. Stefan Kuntz is the only Kaiserslautern player to this day, who was honored as the footballer of the year in the Bundesliga and the whole team got the team of the year award. After the campaign 1991/92 the successful coach Karl-Heinz “Kalli” Feldkamp decided to resign his contract.
