Kaiserslautern 1997/98 Retro Shirt

The Retro Jersey of 1.FC Kaiserslautern of the camapign 1997/98. A Season, that not one single football fan in Germany will ever forget. The first football club Kaiserslautern is the only team in the history of german professional football that managed the impossible. From getting promoted the season before to winning the Bundesliga title.

After Otto Rehhagel, one of the biggest coaching legends in Germany, guided the team sovereign  to first division football in the year before, the objective was to keep the league. But directly on the first matchday there was the big surprise, when the team beat FC Bayern Munich 1:0 at home. On the 4th matchday Kaiserslautern took over the first spot, and was refusing to give it away until the last day of the campaign. In total they lost only 4 games over the season, the same amount they did the years before in the second league. The Team contained several stars, like midfield coordinators Ciriaco Sforza  and Michael Ballack as well as Goalscorer Olaf Marschhall who scored 23 goals in this campaign. For this incredible effort the red devils (nickname for Kaiserslautern in German) earned for a second time after 1991 the price as the best team in Germany.

The design of the red home shirt pleases the eye with various details like the logo which is included various times in the design and the red devil in the collar.

Our Retro Shirt is made out of Polyester and is completely manufactured in Europe.

For all football fans that want to revive a piece of sport history!
