Vintage shirt Brazil 1970; the year that Brazilian National Team amazed the world with their fantastic offensive football.

The “Canarinha”, the powerhouse of football. With the WC being hosted in Mexico there was great pressure for the Pele, Jairzinho, Carlos Alberto and crew to win. Despite the Brazil coach, Saldanha, being fired months before the World Cup, his replacement, Jorge Maria Lobo Zagallo, stepped up to the occasion and was able to make players like Pele & Tostao, play together. They beat the champions, England, in the group stages, and would then go to win against Peru & Uruguay. The final was played at Estadio Azteca, with over 105,000 fans in the stadium, Brazil played a vibrant game, with Pele scoring the first, and overall beat Italy 4-1, winning their 3^rd World Cup Title.

*Interesting anecdote, Brazil not only won the World Cup in 1970, but was also awarded the “The Jules Rimet Trophy”, (In honour of ex FIFA president) which was stolen in 1983, to never be retrieved.
