As the name suggest, New England Tea Men team were owned by Lipton (Ice tea company). 1978 was a very successful season for their brief 2 year history, as they won the Eastern Division title, despite this, later they would lose in the 1st round of the playoffs. Outstanding players that took part in this team of the likes of ; Mike Flanagan, Kevin Keelan and many others.
