FC Internazionale Official  Retro football shirt 1986-87,”Inter”, same shirt worn by legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and licensed by Inter.

The 1986-87 season was marked with the appointment of Giovanni Trapattoni, “Il Trap”, one of italies most celebrated managers, as head coach. With a well known reputation for building strong defensive teams, Trapattoni slowly started introducing his methods.

Unfortunately, throughout the season one of their star players; Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, would struggle with injuries, weakening Trapattoni’s attack. With Alessandro Altobelli taking charge for the teams attack, he scored a total of 10 goals in Serie A.

FC Internazionale finished in 3rd position Serie A, and were knocked out in quarter finals of both UEFA Cup and Coppa Italia tournaments, despite this not being their most successful campaign, it was a build on for the 1988-89 Serie A title.
