Eintracht Frankfurt 1982/83

What an Icon he was! Bum-Kun Cha. After the south Korean national player was transferred to Darmstadt in 1978, he only played one year for the club because he had to do his military service. Back in Germany he was engaged by Eintracht Frankfurt at the beginning of the 1979/80 campaign. After the first half of his first year the prestigious sports magazine Kicker ranked him in the highest possible category: world class. He was a starting player and fan favorite from day one.

In total the South Korean scored 98 goals in 308 caps for Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen. He accomplished the win of the DFB-Cup in 1981 and the Uefa-Cup in 1980 with Frankfurt. In 1988 he won the UEFA-Cup a second time with Leverkusen.

But obviously the team consisted of more players than the iconic striker. Worth to mention is the player Karl-Heinz “Charly“ Köppel. Who stayed his whole professional career at Frankfurt and managed to win the DFB-Cup four times and played more than 600 games for the club.

The short sleeved red retro shirt contains two vertical stripes at the front- and backside.

The shirt is manufactured in Europe and is made out of polyester.

This retro jesey is for all fans that can remember the days of these icons until today!
