The Lisbon Lions”- Retro shirt Celtic- European Champions.

1967 was to be the greatest year ever, of Celtic Glasgow Football supporters. Led by Captain William "Billy" McNeill, the team won its only ever European Cup Championship, or at least until now.

The final game was held at Estádio Nacional in Lisbon, Portugal, against a very strong Internazionale side, that had won the title 2 years consecutively, in 1964 & 65.

Despite an early penalty that Sandro Mazzola (Internazionale) would score, Celtic fought back, and in the 63rd minute they scored the equalizer. The rest of the game was dominated by the Celtic attack pushing forward and Internazionale entrenched in its own half, defending. 10 minutes before the end, Stevie Chalmers scored and certified Celtic’s first ever European tournament.
