The Borussia Mönchengladbach Retro shirt from the 1973/74 season belongs to the great era of BMG during the 70s. Coached by the legendary coach Hannes Weisweiller, they managed to win the Bundesliga five times between 1970-1977 and the Cup-Winners’ Cup in 1975 and 1979.
This short sleeved classic retro football shirt was worn by some of the biggest names in german football like the 1974 world cup champions Berti Vogts, Rainer Bonhof and Jupp Heynckes. After Guenter Netzer left the club in 1973 to play for Real Madrid, they replaced him with Uli Stielke and went on to win several titles in the following years.
With a 5:0 home win against Bayern Munich in the last game of the campaign they finished the season in 2nd place.Moreover they reached the semifinal of the Cup-Winners’ Cup against AC Milan.
